#123: SEPHORA Stormy Pink & CHINA GLAZE Admire + KONAD M63

It's FRIDAY again! Shown here is another mani for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Enjoy your weekends~

I felt so sad that I accidentally broke my middle fingernail due to the car door and I had to chop down the remaining to nubs. I'm not ready to show my nubs cause I still think it's hideous, but hubby says it looks okay. It's all his fault. :( Anyway, I shall refrain from posting until I have achieve a nice length again.

Added on 04/12/2011: Thanks for visiting! Something special has happened in my life and it has taken up much of my time. I do not know for sure how long I'll be away from blogging this time. Anyway, thank you so much for your support! =)

#122: SALLY HANSEN Espresso + KONAD M38

Happy Wednesday! It's mid week again. Shown here is Sally Hansen Espresso with some yellow ribbon. Picture was taken several days ago and I've forgotten to take a photo of it. Sorry for the bad lighting. Pestering my hubby to DIY me a light box. Hopefully he'll agree to it.

Don't wait till you're old to wear brown family color. It's classic to wear this when you're young, gals! =)

#121: Elianto Turquoise & ESSENCE Perfectly True + KONAD M79

I ran out of my Konad White Stamping Polish. Had to get another one soon. Not much to say today except that Elianto Turquoise is a very close Tiffany shade, well maybe a tad darker. The clouds signify my mood for today. It's cloudy almost everyday at the same hour. So predictable~ And I hate the after work traffic jam. Argh!!!

#120: SKIN FOOD Pedicure Sparkle #09 + Nail Art

Ok, this Hello Kitty wasn't my idea. Someone posted a tutorial in youtube (cutepolish) and I couldn't resist to attempt this on my own. Hello Kitty on my thumb was a little not-so-perfect but who cares... I really had fun doing this~ Fun mani for a blue Monday. =)

#119: ESSENCE Perfectly True & INGLOT 302

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I'm wearing pink to show my support. This was layered over a white cause this polish is super sheer. No nail art whatsoever just plain color. Talking about pink, there's a pink purse from Coach that is high on my want list as of now. And that purse is limited so I gotta make up my mind if I really wanted it. Sigh~ Decisions decisions...

#118: ESSENCE Perfectly True & ESSIE Bright Tights + BUNDLE MONSTER BM13, BM-225, BM-223, BM-224

I think I found another white which may work on par with my go to staple white, Essie Blanc. Essence Perfectly True is quite easy to work with and I only needed 2 thin coat for opacity. However, it's layered over another polish this time. I'll see if I can remember to post this on it's own or maybe topped with a glittery polish on my coming post.

Bundle Monster have a variety of stamping plates for Halloween theme nails. If you don't have it, you should get yourself both sets cause it's really cheaper than Konad's stamping plates. Bundle Monster's shipping was pretty fast the last time I ordered.

Well this may be too early but I may not have time for this during Halloween as I might be away during that week. Eat, drink and be scary** Happy Halloween everyone~ =)

#117: ESSENCE In The Jungle & ESSENCE Iced Mint Frappe + Nail Art

Dark green paired with a pastel mint green filled with loads of polka dots. Simplicity always turn out pleasing to the eyes. Essence In the Jungle looks very very close to OPI Jade Is The New Black. If you love greens, you'll need to have both. Otherwise, you'll only need to have either one of these. I have both, so maybe I'll do a comparison in my coming post. And as for the pastel mint green, I couldn't compare as I do not own many pastel polish.

#116: ORLY Gogo + Nail Art

Orly Gogo is a soft white with subtle shimmer and silver glitter. It was really streaky to apply though and I needed 3 coats for opacity. It looks a little plain on it's own so I added 2 stripes with a silver nail art pen and then 1 stripe of pink in between them to make it pop.

Simple and easy birthday manicure~ I've grown a year wiser today and the hubby is taking me out for German Cuisine today. Excited tucking into pork knuckles, pork ribs & spaetzli~ Happy birthday to all Librans. =)

#115: SASATINNIE FCGL002 + Nail Art

A gorgeous dark purple polish with copper flakies and blue + silverish micro glitters. Sasatinnie FCGL002 was rumoured to be a cheaper dupe to Orly Fowl Play and OPI Merry Midnight, the latter was said to be HTF polish now. I don't know how true because I don't have the other two to compare, so you'll have to google yourself for that. I'm sure there are plenty available.

This unnamed polish (only identified with code FCGL002) was bought at a local Sasa store for only RM8.90. Surprisingly this gem was dumped in a large bin and I didn't realise it was there until I dug into it. Shown here was 3 thick coats of FCGL002 alone and not layered. Pretty isn't it?

*edited* Fickleminded~ I'm contemplating whether or not to get Orly Fowl Play which was released recently in their Birds Of a Feather Collection just so I could do a comparison. But.... but.... there are already so many swatches available on the blogosphere. >.< And so it killed my lemming~ On the good side, I can save for Color Club Beyond The Mistletoe.

Self restriction: I'm on no buy at the moment.

#114: OPI DS Coronation

Chopped down my nails today. It's getting unmanageable for removing contact lenses and typing. I don't know how people can stand having nails that kept stuck in between the keyboards.

Anyway, I had on OPI DS Coronation today. I can't explain how gorgeous this silver holo looks. The holo effect is super amazing! If you're a collector, you should definitely get this.

#113: CHINA GLAZE Pelican Gray & JORDANA Lavender Foil + KONAD M76

China Glaze Pelican Gray was a little plain on its own. To amp up the look I sponged on Jordana Lavender Foil up to 2/3 of nail and then stamped on a simple pattern on the corners. Love this mani!

#112: SEPHORA Mirror, Mirror & ELIANTO Flaming Pink + BUNDLE MONSTER BM-215

Was out of ideas. I wanted to use either the shatter or crackle polish but I hate the thick goopy polish and I couldn't get a nice thin layer of it. Sick of it! Any idea whether nail polish thinner can be use for shatter/crackle polish?

I went through my stamping plates and found this one that almost resembles the shatter/crackle effect. I freehanded one diagonal stripe of Elianto Flaming Pink on Sephora Mirror, Mirror then stamped the full plate shatter/crackle pattern. And voila, IMO this looks so much nicer than crackle/shatter. Sorry if any of you are offended by my opinion above.

#111: OPI Be A Dahlia Won't You, OPI I Lily Love You & SEPHORA Mirror, Mirror + BUNDLE MONSTER BM-212

This combo is crazy. I'm blinded by the sparkly effect of I Lily Love You. I was a little sad I couldn't get China Glaze Millennium so I tried using Sephora Mirror, Mirror which is a thick metallic silver polish as my stamping color on my accent nail. But it clearly didn't work. ChG Millennium is so rare and hard to find and even if you're able to find it on ebay, the price tag is EXORBITANT! I would rather splurge my hard earned money getting a Chanel nail polish than spending a fortune on this unreasonably high priced polish. End of rant~

#110: ETTUSAIS GY2 & ESSIE Playa Del Platinum + Nail Art

Please ignore the bubble on my middle finger. Was in a hurry and did not notice it till later on.

Ettusais is a Japanese brand and this polish was a birthday gift from a male colleague last year. Ettusais GY2 is a mauve taupe with slight hints of shimmer. Paired here with Essie Playa Del Platinum and dots done with a dotting tool. I have no idea why Playa Del Platinum appear white here. A 60's retro style polka dots nail art~

#109: CHINA GLAZE GR8 + Nail Art

China Glaze GR8 is a very stunning gold holo. The outline of the stickers looks visible in bright sunlight but not so much indoors. But I guess I should just omit the nail art next time I paint this amazing polish on. They definitely deserve a post on its own.

#108: CHINA GLAZE Peachy Keen & CHINA GLAZE Happy Go Lucky + BUNDLE MONSTER BM-221

I looked through my humble stash and found these polish which I think would look great when paired together. Very vibrant colors indeed~ Does these colors makes your heart flutter? Mine did wildly. LOL~ It was too plain at first so I stamped on the leopard pattern and fill in the spots with opposite shades using a dotting tool. I dig this!

#107: CHINA GLAZE Trendsetter & ELIANTO Lime Green + BUNDLE MONSTER BM02

Featured here are 2 coats of China Glaze Trendsetter followed by some sponging of Elianto Lime Green. The lollipop stamp was done with Konad White polish and glitters are fished out from a few different shades of Bisque glitter polishes. Does this look too Over The Top (OTT)? Jam packed like there's so much going on in there. LOL~

I'm super busy at work these days. And it's sucking my energy, I felt tired and lethargic. Guess I'll have to stick to daily post on weekdays and have some rest on weekends...

Essence Choose Me is a stunning blue-green with gold microglitters and when top with Seche makes this glass fleck beauty even more amazing. Stamping done with China Glaze 2030 with a simple flower pattern on nail tips. The nail blogosphere says it's a dupe for Zoya Charla but I really don't know how true cause I can't compare.

#103: COLOR CLUB Wicked Sweet & CHINA GLAZE Skyscraper + KONAD M61

In my opinion, this bluish silver glitter polish is even better than the China Glaze Dorothy Who I bought a while back. That bottle I got could be a defect bottle as it was really runny and thin. It looks to me like it has been diluted with thinner. Gah~ Hate it!

This polish was so pretty, I was too "stingy" to use another coat of it. Which explains why I'm layering it over another 3 coats of Color Club Wicked Sweet. =P Should have added a rhinestone for that extra bling effect.

I'll be putting this on again on its own for my next holiday in November. Till then...

#102: OPI Grape...Set...Match & OPI Servin' Up Sparkle

This picture doesn't do much justice to this pretty reddish-purplish polish. I layered Servin' Up Sparkle on my index and ring finger. The small glitters spreads quite evenly but it was hard to control the hex glitters when putting on this polish, which is why there's more of it on my ring finger compare to the other finger. No top coat.

#101: ZOYA Minka, CHINA GLAZE CG In The City & ESSENCE Copper Rulez + KONAD M66

Subtle and conservative french tips should be an ideal work appropriate mani. After done painting the tips, I move on to top the smile line with China Glaze CG In The City using a brush and then stamped the bamboo pattern from Konad M66 to my thumb and middle finger. #100: CHINA GLAZE Traffic Jam + OPI I Lily Love You

To my eyes, China Glaze Traffic Jam looks like the flesh of a red dragon fruit (pitaya). I dig this red~ I don't see myself wearing this to work but I'll definitely be putting this on my weekend outings as it's really catchy and chic. I decided to give this combo a mix n match and it turns out to complements each other probably because of the sheer pink base in OPI I Lily Love You.

Hurray to my 100th post~ *pats behind own back* =)

Zoya Shay is gorgeous and applies like butter. Can be opaque with one coat if you apply your polish thicker. It's very appropriate for office and not too catchy. Shown here is stamped with the full plate of tiny flower pattern from Konad M73. Okay I know I'm a little obsessed but I really adore this barbie pink. Which explains why I'm revisiting it again but it's for my mani today. So to amp up the look I added lace stickers, rhinestone, hello kitty sticker plus some konad-ing and it turns out like so. A little random cause there's no prior planning. #87: RIMMEL Pink Punch + KONAD M79

I've found one bright pink that screams Barbie finally~ *Yay* Excuse the excitement but I have quite a few pinks and couldn't find one that looks the same as this jelly-like Barbie pink polish. As usual, I couldn't leave it 'naked' without any stamping and I settled for something simple as I always do. The toe was stamped with polka dots pattern from Konad M79 using Konad blue special polish and the end results is this vintage retro 70s look~

#86: PRORANCE Black S12 + BUNDLE MONSTER BM-224 & Nail Art

This Prorance polish is from my little haul from Sasa today. There are micro glitters in it which is super pretty and it's a one coater. Prorance Black S12 is suppose to be the base for layering with the other magic polishes from the Prorance range. I'm not showing the layering in today's post, but I will soon. =)

So I started off with no idea what I was going to do. I had a really long look at my nail art supplies and finally decided to add the 3D heart-shaped nail stickers but it still look kind of plain which explains why I added the dots. The accent nail was stamped with a Chinese character "æ„›" which literally means love and definitely matches the heart-shaped stickers on the other nails. I don't know but the end results seems a little goth to me. What do you think?

I don't think I have a polish that looks like Essence Copper Rulez in my humble stash and I never knew that metallic polished would look so good on my toe nails. #81: CHINA GLAZE Great Barrier Beige

File my nails down today. Slab on a nude polish as I'm really tired to do stamping or glue on any ornaments. I like the color because it compliments my skin tone but I really hated the application as it was streaky and goopy plus I had tons of trouble working with it. It just wouldn't cooperate. Guess I'll have to search for other brands of polish with similar color as I'd really like to wear this to work.

#80: INGLOT 302, ELIANTO Flaming Pink & COLOR CLUB Wink, Wink, Twinkle + BUNDLE MONSTER BM-224

Had on Inglot 302 for a day but I did not post up the photo as I really dislike seeing VNL (Visible Nail Line) these days. It was my first Inglot polish but I see myself purchasing more since the outlet is here in the city. Inglot 302 was really pretty when swatch on the nail wheel but it didn't turned out as I've expected though dry time and application wise was pretty decent.

So like I mentioned, my base is Inglot 302 and I sponge on Elianto Flaming Pink to about 2/3 of my nail then sponge again with Color Club Wink, Wink, Twinkle on the tips and ended up with these. It was spontaneous because I didn't actually have a plan or idea in mind beforehand. I think it's really pretty. Hope you like this. =)

I see this as blue but hubby says this is purple. I don't really know how to describe but it does look blue indoors. This was 3 coats. China Glaze Sci-Fi makes it look extra sparkly in the sun. Was out to the amusement park and got a few compliments on this nail art. Happy to know that someone appreciates my hobby cause there's not much hype here, where I live. I noticed green and pink colored flecks of shimmer on the polish bottle but it didn't look like that at all when painted on my nails. #75: ESSENCE What Do You Think? + KONAD M2

Essence What Do You Think is an amazing peachy coral polish. I only stamped a simple konad pattern on my accent finger because I was visiting the annual floral festival and didn't want to make my nails look too overpowering against the natural flowers on display at the festival.

#74: ZOYA Kieko & ESSENCE Purple Diamond + KONAD M78

Sorry I had to make this photo look darker as I'd like to show the real color of Zoya Kieko. The stamping did not appear too well on camera but it's really nice when I look at it in real life.
